About a half hour ago, a tree was ripped up from the ground and landed right on top of a car. I heard the tree crackle and then I heard the thwomp of the tree ramming through the glass and metal of the car. This happened 10 feet outside of my apartment building. Quickly grabbed my coat, went outside and made sure no one was a) in the car or b) walking by and got hit. After seeing no one, I took a picture of the tree embedding itself into the car. I came back into the apartment and called 311, to no avail. They are, understandably, busy tonight.
